The first time in first grade is a very honorable and responsible experience for every child and parents. The first-graders try to fulfill all the tasks and requests of the teacher, and participate in creative competitions of the class and school. And these competitions and exhibitions begin in September, at the very beginning of the school year. One of the first themes for exhibitions is usually the theme of autumn, for which they are asked to make crafts from natural materials. Usually mothers also get involved in the creative task, since it is very important to make everything beautiful and interesting. We suggest you figure out what crafts on the theme of autumn for school for 1st grade you can make and be sure that the result will be appreciated.

There are several techniques and options for making crafts. You can understand the principle and use any idea with your own additions and variations, show a little imagination and get carried away by the creative process. Then the result will definitely please you.

First-graders are still very young children and they will be interested in making any animals and magical forest creatures. Such crafts are always very simple to make and evoke a desire to dream up and develop imagination. We invite you to take a closer look at the crafts master class on the theme of autumn for school for 1st grade “Hedgehog”.

Hedgehogs made from cones

First, let's prepare everything you need for creativity:

  1. Plastic bottle with cap. This will be the body of the hedgehog.
  2. A pair of white caps from small plastic bottles. These will be the eyes.
  3. Cones. These will be the hedgehog needles.
  4. Acrylic paints and brushes.
  5. Plasticine or any other mass for modeling. We will use it to make mushrooms and apples for the hedgehog’s needles.
  6. Dry leaves and any natural material for decorating crafts. It could be moss, acorns, dried flowers, chestnuts, or anything, everything that can be found on the street, walking with a child in the park or in the forest.
  7. Glue. You can use hot glue in a gun, it glues quickly and well. If it is not there, any other will do.
  8. Thick cardboard for the base or a lid from a large cardboard box.

Now you can start working on the hedgehog:

  1. First, we'll make him a bed of autumn leaves. Take cardboard or a box lid and cover it with leaves or moss. You can decorate with anything you want. This will be a rug for our hedgehog.
  2. Now let's get down to the hero of the craft. First we make his torso. We paint the bottle brown. You can do it in any other way, if you wish. And the cork of this bottle is black. This will be the nose.
  3. Take 2 white caps and draw pupils on them. Glue the eyes in place of the painted bottle.
  4. Now it’s up to the cones, which will very soon become hedgehog needles. We stick them on the bottle one by one, forming needles.
  5. Glue the finished hedgehog onto a bed of leaves.
  6. Now all that remains is to decorate his needles by sticking on them any kind, molded from plasticine or real gifts of autumn: apples, bunches of rowan berries, acorns, mushrooms.

That's all. The hedgehog is ready. This is one of the options for crafts on the theme of autumn for school in 1st grade from pine cones. If you managed to find a large and beautiful cone, then it can become the basis for the hedgehog, its body. Then you can do this:

  1. Taking a large cone as a basis, you need to modify the craft with plasticine parts.
  2. Knead a piece of plasticine thoroughly and form a triangle. We attach it to one end of the cone, raising the tip a little. This will be the muzzle.
  3. We make balls from dark plasticine for a nose and a pair of eyes.
  4. Now we roll larger lumps, these will be the paws. We sculpt them from below and separate the fingers with a stack.
  5. We will make ears from two lumps, flatten them and slightly round them, and put them in place. Such a hedgehog can also be placed on prepared bedding. It is described above.

Chestnut characters

Chestnuts are the best material for creativity with children. You can make anyone out of them. Here are options for crafts on the theme of autumn for school for 1st grade made from chestnuts.

All of them are built on the same principle: the use of chestnuts as elements of crafts and plasticine as a connecting link. Thus, you can make bugs, spiders, caterpillars, bear cubs, and bunnies. Chestnut mushrooms can complement the composition.

Masterpieces from autumn leaves

From the leaves you can create bouquets, wreaths, topiaries, panels and appliqués. And this is all done very simply and incredibly interesting. Let's look at several options for crafts on the theme of autumn for school for 1st grade from leaves. First, we will analyze in detail a bouquet of autumn roses. It is made from maple leaves.

A bouquet requires several buds. Their number depends on the desire of the master and on the availability of maple leaves. With such buds you can decorate an entire basket by filling it with roses and sending small buds up the handle. Here's how to make a rose flower from leaves:

  1. For one bud you need several maple leaves. They must be fresh, not dried.
  2. Fold the first sheet in half and roll it into a fairly tight tube.
  3. We also fold the second sheet in half and wrap it around the first, trying to press it at the base and make it a little looser at the top. Bring the edges of the second sheet down a little.
  4. We wrap the third and subsequent leaves in the same overlap as the petals of a real flower.
  5. We fasten the base with thread.

For a composition of autumn roses, we make as many buds as needed according to the plan. It can be 7 or 9 roses collected in a bouquet. Then we put them on glue on skewers, frame them around with ordinary maple leaves, and decorate the stems and skewers with crumpled paper or satin ribbons.

If you need to assemble a basket of roses, you will have to make a lot more roses, it all depends on the volume of the basket. Place newspaper or foam plastic tightly on the bottom of the basket. We glue roses on top, you can alternate them with any other leaves or dried flowers. If you have a decorative butterfly or ladybug, you can glue a couple onto the roses. Smaller bouquets can be glued to the handle of the basket.

Panels, appliqués and paintings also come out very well from leaves. To do this you need to come up with a plot. It could be any animal or bird, landscape, rowan branches, and so on.

To apply, you need to dry the leaves according to all the rules and work with already dried and rather fragile leaves. For the panel we choose a base. It should be thick cardboard. It can be any shade or white. White cardboard can be shaded with watercolor or gouache, heavily diluted in water.

Then we spread the leaves with glue and carefully glue them onto the cardboard in the place we need according to the plot. Such panels can be added with elements made of plasticine or the missing details can be completed with paint.

Salt dough for autumn crafts for school

The favorite and most popular material for children's creativity is salt dough. Children love to make crafts from soft, pliable and pleasant-to-touch dough. This modeling material gives enormous scope for imagination. You can realize any of your wildest ideas. Let's look at some interesting and unusual crafts on the theme of autumn for school for 1st grade using salt dough. But first, the recipe for the play dough itself:

  1. Take a glass of flour and a glass of salt, mix them. It is better to take finely ground salt or grind it in a coffee grinder.
  2. Now you need to carefully add water. You don't need to go overboard with this. Take half a glass and pour into the mixture, stirring it. If the dough crumbles, add more water.

The mass should be plastic and viscous, similar to soft plasticine. The dough can be divided into parts and add food coloring to each, knead the pieces, stirring the paint. This produces ready-made colored pieces (like plasticine) from which you can sculpt a craft.

Or you can leave the mass without color, make parts and paint them after drying.

It is better to start working immediately after preparing a portion of the dough and use it in full. But if there is any dough left over, you can store it for a while, tightly wrapped in cellophane to prevent it from drying out.

Rules for working with the test

  1. You can make panels or three-dimensional figures from the dough. You need to sculpt from it in the same way as from plasticine.
  2. For the panel, all the parts are first made separately and dried on a flat surface, then painted and glued to the base using PVA or Titan glue.
  3. If you need to sculpt a three-dimensional figure, then it is done completely at once, for example a hedgehog or a mushroom. If you need to sculpt a large figure, then for the base you can take tightly crumpled foil and stick an adze onto this lump, giving it the desired shape. This way the figurine will dry out better and not crack. And after drying, paint with the desired colors.
  4. You can dry parts and figures naturally in the air for 24 hours or in the oven for 30 minutes at low temperature. It is better to air dry voluminous parts longer.

In such a craft, you can combine details and figures made from salt dough with natural materials: leaves, cones, moss or chestnuts.

Paper fantasies

If you urgently need to make a craft, but you didn’t have time to collect natural materials or you don’t have the time or desire, you can create interesting crafts on the theme of autumn for school in 1st grade from paper. There are also a lot of options and ideas here. Let's see what can be made from paper or on paper and dedicate it to autumn.

The children's favorite craft made from colored paper is outlined and cut out palms, which can be used as tree leaves in the fall. To do this, we outline and cut out palms in yellow, orange, and red. On a large thick sheet of white paper, draw a trunk of a spreading tree with brown paint and glue leaves from palms onto it.

Another option for a simple and interesting paper craft is a landscape with square colored leaves.

For it you need to draw or glue a couple of tree trunks on a base (thick white paper). Cut squares from yellow and red paper and stick them in large quantities overlapping on the crown of trees and under them, imitating foliage and fallen leaves.

Another option for an autumn paper panel:

  1. We make leaves by folding cut out maple leaves of yellow, green and red colors like an accordion. We glue them three at a time in the designated places.
  2. We glue rowan leaves from ovals. They must first be folded lengthwise and like an accordion, and then straightened. This is how we will add texture.
  3. Rowan is crumpled lumps of paper soaked in water.
  4. Twigs - brown paper rolled into a tube.
  5. We glue all the parts with PVA glue.
  6. We weave a vase from strips of paper of two colors.

We prepare natural material correctly

For any craft on the theme of autumn for school for 1st grade from natural materials, it is necessary to correctly assemble and prepare everything that autumn gave us. It is important to collect any natural material on a dry basis so that no leaves, pine cones or acorns are damp or rotten.

How to properly dry foliage:

  1. Collect beautiful dry leaves.
  2. If the sheet you like has already shrunk a little or is wrinkled, you can iron it with a hot iron and dry it further according to the scheme.
  3. Line them between a couple of sheets of paper and place them under a level press, such as a heavy book. It should cover the entire surface of the leaf.
  4. Leave the leaves like this for several days, preferably a week or two.
  5. After drying, you need to work very carefully with the leaves, as they become fragile.

Flowers can be dried in the same way, it is advisable to place each flower between a pair of cotton pads. Bulk flowers for crafts are dried hanging upside down and tied to a crossbar with a thread for a week or two.

Cones, chestnuts, and acorns can be collected dry and clean and stored in a box until the creative process begins.

All the above photos and descriptions of crafts can be used exactly following all the recommendations or you can add your own ideas, mix and match some ideas in one craft.

Here is also a video to help with a description of a craft on the theme of autumn for school for 1st grade. Check it out, it will definitely inspire you to creative endeavors. Have fun and create beauty with your own hands.

Good afternoon, we continue to talk about autumn crafts. And today I have prepared a new batch of ideas for crafts on the theme of autumn. Here you will find the most beautiful works, suitable for children in kindergarten, as well as more serious art objects worthy of the hand of a master. You will find a variety of crafts on an autumn theme in our other articles - And at the end of the article I will also give you a list of links to other children's crafts for this fall.

Well, let's get started, let's see what beautiful and simple crafts I have prepared for you today.

Origami

On the theme of autumn

Using the quilling technique.

Autumn means beautiful golden leaves. From narrow strips of paper you can transfer openwork beauty autumn leaves. In the photo below we see simple openwork twists using the quilling technique. For such airy leaves you don’t need a lot of paper. And such work is quite easy to do for school-aged children.

Young children can fold simple leaves - where each element of the leaf is ONE single large quilling twist.

And more complex leaf crafts on the theme of autumn are made in several stages. First, we draw the outline of a maple leaf on a piece of paper. Then we fill this silhouette with twist modules - starting from the center and gradually moving to the edges of the silhouette. After the entire interior of the sheet has been collected, all that remains is to paste one continuous strip of paper along the entire contour edge of the craft.

Or you can start making crafts with veins(as in the left photo below). First, stretch the veins from strips of paper - following the drawn contours of the veins on the paper - stick a pin into the end of the drawn vein, stretch a strip of paper, wrap it around the pin and glue the second half of the strip to the first half. After all the veins have been collected and secured with pins, we begin to lay out the twisted paper modules.

There are different quilling techniques for creating patterned twist modules. By alternating different patterns and shades of color, you can create real masterpieces-crafts on the theme of autumn (like these oak leaves with acorns in the picture below).

Quilling modules can be stacked in autumn painting-panel(as in the photo below). I explained in detail how to make such shaggy flowers and showed them in photographs in a special article.

Birds, rowan branches, squirrels, and hedgehogs may appear on quilling paintings and crafts on the theme of autumn. Everything that has to do with the autumn forest.

If you are just starting your first steps in the quilling technique, then it is better and easier to make an autumn theme Rowan craft.

This craft has simple berries - round twists. And simple leaves - twists in the shape of an eye (that is, the same circle-twist was first loosened and untwisted, and then squeezed with fingers on both sides, giving the shape of an eye).

Children of primary school age They already have dexterous and strong fingers enough to twist and flatten quilling modules themselves. Therefore, they will also be able to do simple crafts on the theme of autumn using the quilling technique.

For example, it’s easy to make a hedgehog like this and a round, relaxed, bull’s-eye cord.

There are many more ideas and ways to make an autumn hedgehog craft both using the quilling technique and from natural materials and from paper you will find in our article.

And when the child gets the hang of it, you can give him craft tasks with a LARGE number of quilling modules (as in the photo with autumn crafts below).

To make such children's crafts, it is better to use stencils. Many quilling stencils on the theme of autumn can be found on the Internet. I plan to write a separate article on autumn quilling and in it I will publish ready-made full-size stencils. In the meantime, for starters, here’s an idea for an autumn tree made from rolled paper.

Autumn themed crafts

Made from corrugated paper.

Thin crepe paper (crumpled or corrugated) is suitable for very beautiful autumn-themed crafts for children. You can make a tree craft from a roll of toilet paper. Or an autumn flower craft on an ice cream stick leg.

The most important thing is to learn how to make multi-layered lush pom-pom flowers. In the article “” I give detailed explanations of how to make such lush flowers quickly and easily with children’s hands in kindergarten.

And here they post this sketchy photo instruction. And I give a step-by-step description of your actions.

Step 1– place colored sheets of paper on top of each other (crepe paper or colored table paper napkins)

Step 2– we fold this stack of colored bougie layers in the form of a regular accordion (as when making a paper fan)

Step 3– make a rounding at both ends of the folded fan with scissors (this is so that the edges of the flowers are oval)

Step 4– we pull the middle of the fan with wire or rope and tie it in a knot.

Step 5– we move the blades of our fan apart from both ends and in both directions – and we move the colored paper layers apart, peeling them apart from each other. We get a lush rainbow cloud.

And now we either partially insert this cloud into a tree trunk (a toilet paper roll) or attach it to the stem of a flower (an ice cream stick or a long skewer). And in the end we get a wood craft. Or craft an autumn flower.

Craft for autumn.

Newspaper wreath.

An ordinary newspaper can be a beautiful autumn gift or a craft for a school competition on the theme of autumn.

Newspaper sheets We paint with gouache in different autumn colors. Next, we fold each sheet in half several times and trace the silhouette of the blank for the future petal on it. The silhouette can be in the shape of a triangle (or a heart). We cut out such colored silhouettes. And now we twist each of them so that the point of the triangle (or heart) looks up.

We roll thin newspapers tube-bundles. From them we twist the body-base for the wreath. We fix it with wire or rope.

Autumn themed crafts

From ordinary cones.

Pine cones are a very versatile craft material. You can use them to make animals and birds and many other autumn-themed crafts for children. I have a separate article Crafts from pine cones and there is a whole menagerie on this topic. And in this article I want to show the other side of the bump. Her beautiful inner world.

Namely the world of cones in cross-section.

If you cut the pine cone in half with a knife. Then we see a flat center with scales similar to petals of a wooden flower. You can use tongs to pull out the excess petal scales. Or, on the contrary, glue it with glue and add petal scales to this cut of the cone.

And then decorate everything with gouache. Draw the colored edges of the petals, draw the middle, and even paint the fluffy stamens with thin brush strokes (as in the photo below). You get beautiful flowers from cones.

Children really like crafts for painting pine cones. You can make entire wall panels from flowerbed cones on the theme of autumn.

But below we see blanks for a cool craft - AUTUMN FLOWDER BED. Do you see the orange flowers that look so much like marigolds? Here, in the middle of a cut from a large cone, a small cone with lush open scales is inserted. Everything is beautiful in yellow. We paint the edges of the scales red. And it turns out to be the spitting image of a marigold flower. You can put together a realistic bouquet. Open the Internet and see what shape and coloring they have, and use gouache to repeat the same shades, stamens, stripes, specks - and you will get an autumn flowerbed that looks like a real one.

This is a very chic craft that is quite simple to make. With such a flowerbed you will win any school craft competition on the theme of autumn. Rest assured. Moreover, I will now reveal to you three little secrets How to achieve perfection in this craft...

Little secret. How to beautifully reveal the scales of a cone. Soak the pine cones in hot water. They closed themselves off from the water. Remove from the water and place on a baking sheet in the oven. We fry them at a low temperature and they open up beautifully - spread out evenly in all directions.

And another little trick. To make your flowerbed of cones smell fragrant, you can use aromatic oils (sold at the pharmacy). We put the opened cones, even before coating them with gouache, in a tight cellophane bag - drop a few drops of aromatic oil into it - you can mix it, drop a drop of different things (it won’t spoil it). Close the bag tightly and shake so that the droplets are distributed throughout the bag. And let the cone lie there for a day and soak it properly.

And one more small nuance. How to make your flowerbed sparkle. After you have applied the main color and drawings, strokes, specks, etc. with gouache. You need to spray hairspray on top. This will fix the paint, it will not stain your hands, and the color itself will become two tones richer and brighter.

The middle of each cone flower can be decorated with a round acorn cap - also painted with colored gouache (as in the photo below). From such chic flower cones you can make entire wreaths-crafts on the theme of autumn.

You can not decorate the decorated cones in the form of flowers, but simply stick them on a cardboard donut ring cut from a large pizza box.

Autumn themed crafts

Made from natural material

Using mosaic technique.

All children love bulk cereal applications. And this is good. Because it's useful. Autumn mosaic applications made from cereals and seeds greatly calm the psyche and develop fine motor skills.

You can add curly pasta to the cereals. We attach the material to plasticine or glue from a hot gun.

Young children can be given simple mozika crafts on the theme of autumn. For example, here’s a craft in form of an autumn tree All the kids in the younger group of kindergarten really like it.

We paint in advance watermelon seeds(or pumpkin seeds) in different gouache colors. And children use pva glue to lay out entire panels of these colored seeds.

And it’s even faster to make mosaic material on the theme of autumn from colored maple leaves. We simply cut them into cubes and pour them into bowls. Children choose the elements themselves and stick them on the crown of the drawn tree.

Here are more simple ideas for crafts on the theme of autumn for children in school and kindergarten. An autumn leaf is divided into sectors and each sector can be filled with a material of different texture. If there are no seeds or cereals, each sector can be filled with chopped mosaics and maple leaves, but of different colors - a sector of yellow, a sector of green, burgundy, orange, red, etc.

And hedgehog crafts made from natural materials, beloved by all children. The spines of the hedgehog can be made from watermelon seeds and their winged maple seeds. And the apple on the side of the hedgehog can be made from a walnut shell.

A craft on an autumn theme may have an unattractive color, but the different textures of the bulk mosaic material will make it chic. The combination of rice, buckwheat and barley will give us a beautiful boletus mushroom.

Light oatmeal and maple seeds will help you make a wonderful squirrel with your own hands.

And here is my favorite combination of a mosaic of dry leaves and acorn caps.

You can make this beautiful craft with your own hands on the theme of autumn - a silhouette of a squirrel from acorn caps. We print the silhouette on the printer. Cover it with black gouache. And use a hot glue gun to attach the acorn caps. A beautiful craft as a gift for friends and family.

MOSAIC techniques

for crafts for autumn.

Mosaic of lumps . The lumps may be paper (crumpled balls of crepe or corrugated paper).

Or the lumps may be made of colored plasticine (as in the photo of the craft below).

Mosaic for adult art crafts on the theme of autumn may consist of more expensive material - buttons and beads. Autumn is rich in ideas for crafts made from buttons. These can be trees, pumpkins, and a red fox like autumn - the queen of the autumn forest.

But the child also loves to work with buttons. You can glue the buttons using a glue gun or plasticine. You can lay out a long sticky path with your own hand using a glue gun, and your child can quickly fill it with bright buttons and sequins (as in the photo of the autumn craft below)

Autumn mosaic made of paper. This is a children's craft. When a sheet of colored paper is cut into squares. Each color is poured into separate bowls and the child begins to post a picture. It looks beautiful when everything is laid out on a black background, that is, black cardboard will do.

The smaller the child, the simpler the mosaic task should be for him. The outlines of the future drawing should be drawn in advance on the background and serve as guides for the child as to the boundaries of the layout of the elements.

You can cut mosaic material different sizes. In order to fill each sector of the painting with a different texture - small or large, cubic or triangular.

Can be cut from thick cardboard uneven pieces of the future mosaic. First, cut the cardboard into jagged strips with curved edges. And then cut these long strips into short pieces, also very diagonally and moving unevenly with scissors.

Assemble a craft from such crooked cardboard elements. And then cover up the cracks. Apply PVA glue to the gaps between the cardboard and fill these places with fine sifted river sand or sifted barley grits. Dry and top coat with hairspray so that everything shines with gloss. The result will be the effect of a real ceramic mosaic. An excellent, quite simple and chic craft on the theme of autumn. Suitable for both children and parents - everyone will find their own portion of work in both cutting and display.

Crafts from autumn leaves

using the print technique.

This is not the first article on the topic of autumn that we talk about the technique of imprinting maple leaves. Because a properly made print is very beautiful. Children really enjoy these art activities where they can make stamps and prints. Against the background of such a sheet of paper stamped with leaves, you can make autumn applications with a squirrel or a hedgehog.

Children's crafts from leaves

On the theme of autumn.

Children love to make elegant crafts from autumn leaves. On our website there is a large article on a variety of techniques for such children's creativity Crafts from leaves

In this article I will show you some more ideas for children. These cute flowers with eyes are suitable for school and kindergarten age.

We cut out a round piece of cardboard, glue white eyes on it and draw a smile and eyelashes with a marker. We turn the cardboard disk over and attach the leaves to the reverse side with glue or plasticine so that they look like half a sheet over the edge of the cardboard round. On the back side of the flower, attach a tube-leg to plasticine or tape and place the flower in a vase made from a toilet paper roll.

Here is a beautiful applique of round aspen leaves. Or maple leaves cut with scissors in the shape of a circle. We glue them onto a sheet of paper, add sticks at the top, and glue the silhouette of the bowl in which they lie at the bottom. A simple craft for young children on the theme of autumn.

You can take a sheet of paper and stick autumn leaves on it in a chaotic manner. And cover this sheet of paper on top with a sheet of cardboard with a silhouette hole cut out in it in the shape of a maple leaf.

You can also make a carpet from deciduous fabric. Cut out an even circle from it. And laminate the round piece on a laminating machine and we will get a useful craft stand for table setting.

You will find even more interesting techniques for working with autumn foliage in the article.

Crafts for autumn

from leaves and paints.

Leaves can be painted with paints. And they will have new craft opportunities. The painted leaf takes on a new creative life. Here's how it happens.

We took a long willow leaf and covered it with a pattern. We look at it and understand that it resembles the long feather of a marvelous bird.

Then we draw a new leaf feather and another, each time changing the pattern. Then we lay out the feather leaves on the table and now we see the silhouette of the future craft. A beautiful firebird.

It is not easy for children to draw neat patterns with a thin brush. And it is not necessary. Let the children's decorated leaves be brightly spotted, not necessarily with an even, symmetrical pattern. All the same, these works will be beautiful.

In adulthood, entire mini-paintings can be painted on large leaves. I will not talk in detail about the technique of such painting on autumn leaves; I already talked about this in the article

DIY lamps

The theme is autumn.

This craft requires working with a sharp paper knife or blade, so children should not try it on their own. Let an adult cut out the inner parts of the sheet. The easy-to-follow tutorial below will show you all the steps. They are simple and understandable.

We cut out a long strip of cardboard - fold it into 4 parts - flaps, plus on one side there should be a small overlap - reserve for gluing. In one of the halves of the sides we cut a hole in the form of a sheet with a knife. Glue parchment on the inside. Glue the flaps together to form a hollow cube. And inside we put a glass jar with a candle with a tablet at the bottom.

By the same principle you can do candle holders made of thick packaging paper and rolled into a tube. We cut out the silhouette of a maple leaf on it, and glue transparent parchment paper painted with watercolors in a delicate color onto the back side. We roll this two-layer sheet into a roll and fasten it with a stapler. We place a candle or a garland of LEDs inside.

And here are some more jars-candlesticks, The simplest crafts on the theme of autumn. The jars are coated with gouache blots, or pasted over with pieces of colored napkins and onto this blotted background we paste the silhouette of a tree trunk with branches. And you're done.

You can paint the jars like this with a hole in the shape of an autumn leaf. Cut out a sheet of paper. We glue it onto regular soap on the side of the jar. Cover the jar with acrylic paint. We wet the paper sticker with water - the soap gets wet and the sheet peels off. It turns out to be a candlestick. Pour grain inside and place a candle.

You can also white Christmas LED garland decorate with autumn leaves - tie foxes to each diode with tape and get a glowing autumn garland. A beautiful craft on an autumn theme to decorate your autumn holiday.

Crafts-embroidery

on the theme of autumn.

If you loved to embroider as a child, then this fall you can make an embroidered craft with an autumn theme. It can be a beautiful yellow-green-red leaf, made using different embroidery stitch techniques (as in the photo below).

This could be a landscape painting on the theme of autumn, made using the satin stitch technique.

You can aim for a large canvas with many elements. Or you can make a simple autumn tree.

You can decorate a useful item with embroidery - for example, a pillow. A great DIY gift with a fall theme. Pattern for this embroidery you can draw it yourself watercolor paints on paper in small squares- This kind of paper is sold in the drawing department.

Bead crafts

on the theme of autumn.

And autumn leaves look beautiful if they are made of bright beads. There are a great variety of beading techniques, so there are many ways to make an autumn leaf out of beads. Here I offer the simplest one - accessible to children, the one that is taught in children's creativity clubs. We make the outer frame of the sheet with a central vein from thick wire. And we braid this frame with thin wire, stringing rows of beads onto it as we weave.

DIY autumn wreath of acorns

A handmade autumn wreath of acorns will become an original and stylish decoration for any interior.

Autumn craft with leaves “Pear on a plate”

A herbarium of leaves collected in the fall is a whole wealth and raw material for children's crafts. You can come up with a lot of options for using such natural material. Since it is necessary to practice creative activities on creating unusual figures with children, we offer you an interesting idea for creativity.

Just work with dried and fragile material very carefully.

By practicing such activities, children will eventually independently learn to think creatively and notice the amazing features of natural objects.

If your soul wants something original, we suggest creating an autumn flower arrangement. Namely, the bouquet “Autumn Mood”.

The product consists of two elements – a vase and flowers.

For flowers we need:

  • leaves of different sizes and colors;
  • glue gun;
  • wire or thin twigs (for the stem);
  • scissors, pliers (for wire).

Be careful with the glue gun if you are doing leaf crafts with your child. It’s better to trust your child to select the leaves, arrange them by color, cut them and serve them to you.

As it turned out, leaves with slightly curved edges produce more realistic roses (green flower). Try to curl the edges of the leaves to avoid any petals sticking out. Large leaves can be cut in half. For a rose 8-10 cm in diameter, you will need 15-20 leaf fragments measuring 5-6 cm.

Progress:

1. Take the wire and bend the edge.

2. We begin to form a rose from leaves and their fragments. We wrap the first sheet around the eye of the wire and secure it well with glue. We continue to glue the leaves in a circle, filling the empty spaces.

3. The bottom row is the sepals. Take 5 leaves of small size and contrasting color. Glue it in a circle, thereby covering all the “insides” of the flower. In the photo you can see small red leaves under green petals - these are the sepals.

4. The stem of the finished flower can be wrapped in floral tape and several leaves can be tied to the stem. If you are using twigs, simply glue a couple of leaves along the stem of the flower. The autumn rose is ready.

To form a beautiful bouquet you will need several flowers - 3,5,7. Try to make them different in both color and size. It will look more colorful this way. You can fit several buds into the composition. They will help fill empty spaces in a flower arrangement.

Vase for autumn bouquet

For a themed vase you will need any small bottle (glass or plastic), twine, a couple of acorns or hazelnuts. And, of course, a glue gun or any other glue. We wrap the bottle with thread, periodically securing the result with glue. We attach nuts or acorns to a small piece of twine using glue. We tie the result on a vase.

If your bottle was large, you can decorate it with an appliqué made from halves of a nut shell or any cereal at all. Instruct your child to come up with something to decorate the vase with. Direct his imagination in the right direction.

Now you can form a beautiful bouquet of flowers and put it in a vase. It will be more convenient if the height of the stem of each flower is different. You can fill the space in several tiers.

Such crafts made from autumn leaves can not only become an original decoration for any interior, but will also help you win at any school exhibition.

Nature itself suggests thousands of ideas. You don’t need to be an experienced craftsman to create a unique decoration for your home filled with warmth and care with your own hands. And kids are happy to participate in the creative process and make amazing crafts just like adults. Master class - how to make one - read here.

Why not make a hedgehog with your child from a pine cone and plasticine? Autumn colorful leaves will add special colors to your work.

Encyclopedias say that hedgehogs live in forests and parks, but sometimes they can also be found in village courtyards. Spiny animals make nests in woodpiles. At night, individual daredevils or a full-fledged family go out in search of food.

The dried greenery in the beds rustles quietly. At dusk, the direction of the hunters is clearly visible. Hedgehogs do not worry that the owners of the yard see their movements. As a rule, quiet and harmless neighbors are not driven away, sometimes even fed with milk.

What does a hedgehog eat? Insects, slugs, mice. This means that such an animal is beneficial for those who garden.

The hedgehog made from a pine cone turned out so cute. As a decoration, you can decorate the thorns with plasticine or a real small apple, and place the hero himself on a carpet of autumn maple leaves. Read a detailed master class on how to make one here.

By the way, hedgehogs are considered fast animals. They are capable of speeds up to 3 m/s. At the same time, prickly animals jump and swim well.

The resulting hedgehog, unlike the real one, can be safely picked up. It will not hiss and curl up into a ball, warning of danger. This hero will not run away from his little owner, but will happily stand all autumn and even winter. The pine cone hedgehog does not hibernate. He is ready to celebrate winter and New Year holidays with his children.

How to make one - read here.

These fun ones are very easy and quick to make. See the detailed master class here.

How to make a toy Autumn goddess from fabric

Doing something with your own hands is so fun and interesting. Well, if it also turns out beautifully, then such toys simply have no price. You come to an exhibition of handmade products and your eyes just widen. Let's try to reveal some of the secrets of the masters and consider the method of making the goddess of Autumn, which you can give to children or hang on the wall in your home.

So, we will need: acrylic fabric paints (with gold and silver jars), a set of brushes, cotton fabric, filler, thread and needle.

Step one. Making a layout

In the layout we have to figure out what our toy will look like. At this stage we make an initial sketch, then a pattern, and sew the parts together.

Our autumn is sewn from a single piece of material. You just need to make her legs and one arm separately (the arm is cut out from another piece of fabric and sewn on top of the product). When all this is ready, you need to fill the toy with cotton wool or other material and sew up all the holes.

Step two. Time for creativity

Now we must draw our autumn goddess. You can completely repeat the drawing of the finished product, which will be given below. In any case, you should use orange, gold, yellow and red colors, because autumn is rich in these colors.

Our autumn has a big tambourine in her hands, as if she is convening the whole world so that people, animals and animals can rejoice in the last warm days. Next, you need to paint the toy (to make the paint stick better, you can apply PVA glue to the fabric).

Step three. Decorating our toy

You can decorate our beauty endlessly. After all, autumn is unique. You can glue a bead to it, add sparkles - whatever your heart desires. Look what a wonderful autumn we have had. Lovely to watch.

Goddess of autumn with your own hands

Physalis in pumpkin

Autumn bouquets can be made not only from fresh flowers, but also from oak branches with acorns, sea buckthorn, barberry, rose hips, viburnum, elderberry, rowan, wild grapes, bright physalis lanterns, ears of corn, etc.

Such compositions look great in a pumpkin vase, wicker basket, tin bucket, or clay jug. The vessel can be decorated with ears of corn and decorated with ribbon.

Will-o'-the-wisps

Acorns, birch bark, physalis, hawthorn berries, and small decorative pumpkins will help you decorate candles in an autumn style. Simple thick candles can be wrapped in birch bark or inserted into small pumpkins, where the top is cut off and some of the pulp is removed. Glass candlesticks will look original and festive if you paint them with stained glass paints.

If you drill holes in a thick branch the size of candles, decorate with small pumpkins, pine cones and berries, then an original candlestick for your home is ready.

September wreath

To set the mood, you can weave a wreath on the wall or front door. Flexible branches are suitable for its base. Bet on a vine, straw or wire coat hanger curved into a circle. The hook has been received. It is better to imagine decorative elements with leaves, hop cones, grass panicles, tree branches, grapevines, acorns, rowan berries. In any case, it is convenient to attach it to the base with a heat gun (an alternative fixation is with a thin wire).

Decorate the wreath in an autumn style; fortunately, there are plenty of natural materials - bright leaves, thin branches, vine balls, etc. Or you can hang the leaves from the frame. An old lampshade or wooden staircase is suitable for it.

Leaf fall on the sofa

What could be more pleasant than a cup of aromatic tea, drunk on a sofa with soft pillows and a warm fleece blanket? In textiles, it is better to use soft, velvety fabrics of autumn colors (brown-red, bright orange, burgundy, marsala, terracotta, muted green), prints in the form of leaves, vegetables, autumn flowers.

It is convenient to cut out the decor in the form of autumn leaves from thick fabric and sew it to the background with a zigzag. If the leaves are made of felt and the edges do not require additional processing, you can stitch them onto the pillowcase using a regular seam - this will give volume and help create a planned composition.

Acorn frame

Cover a passe-partout made of thick cardboard with felt, decorate it with a bouquet of small decorative elements in autumn style: apples, acorn caps, felt leaves, berries, etc. The bouquet can be made removable, attach a pin to it and use it as a brooch.

Invite the children to cover a cardboard frame with acorn caps, insert a thick piece of plain cardboard or a burlap background inside, glue in a beautiful leaf or any other gift from nature.

What about the holiday table?

Use autumn motifs in table setting. Make napkin clips in the form of an oak bouquet: felt leaves, acorn caps with a soft colored “nut”. Mossy twigs can be collected into a ring and decorated with half a walnut. Don't forget to make small bouquets of oak leaves and berries.

The yellow and red leaves can be used as placemats or to decorate dishes. Let autumn bring bright colors and comfort to your home!

DIY autumn doll

Dress for a doll using the quilling technique. Master class with step-by-step photos.

Master class “Beauty Autumn”

Chernikova Dina Nikolaevna – teacher of MBDOU kindergarten No. 1 in the village of Staroye Melkovo, Tver region, Konakovsky district.
Description of material: This material is intended for children of senior preschool age, teachers and parents.
Purpose: making gifts, participating in a competition, decorating the interior of a room.
Target: creating a dress for a doll using the quilling technique.
Tasks:
- strengthen the skill of rolling a strip of paper into a roll;
-develop children's creative abilities, attention, imagination and fantasy;
- develop fine motor skills of the hands and eye;
- cultivate perseverance, accuracy, and interest in working with paper.

They often say about autumn: golden autumn. It’s not hard to guess why: the leaves on the trees turn from green to a variety of shades of gold and gold. Yellow ocher, red copper, greenish brass, brown bronze, pale yellow and orange-yellow gold - these colors primarily remind you of autumn. You look at the forest, which is all painted in such shades and you involuntarily think: yes, golden autumn. This is truly a very beautiful time, perhaps the most beautiful of the year. In any case, many artists especially like to paint autumn landscapes. This theme gives them the richest choice of colors.
So a doll of Autumn in an orange and yellow sundress appeared in my head. And I decided to make this dream come true.

Autumn turned out to be a beautiful girl,
She came out to people sweet and playful.
Brought a palette and colored paints,
I painted sunny fairy tales with a brush.
Suddenly a playful wind blew in,
I joked a little with playful autumn.
Beauty fell from the trees at your feet.
And a blanket of leaves covered the earth. (Borovik N.)

To complete the work we will need:
doll; colored double-sided (yellow, orange, green) and white paper; cardboard; file; stud buttons; duct tape; elastic bands; cling film; mold (lid) for making an umbrella; fishing line; beads; yellow material; narrow tape; rulers (simple and with circles); scissors; PVA glue; a simple pencil; toothpick for curling paper.

Work order:
1. Cut out a template for the bottom of the dress from cardboard.

2. Twist the template and secure it with adhesive tape, cover the cone with cling film so that the parts do not stick to the paper later.

3. Insert the doll into the “skirt”.

4. From yellow paper, cut strips 10 mm wide and 30 cm long. Insert the tip of the strip into the toothpick slot and begin winding, making rotations. The rolls of paper should fit snugly against each other. Having reached the end, place the ruler in the circle, remove it from the toothpick, and let the spiral unravel. Each subsequent roll (spiral) will be the same size.

5. Make rolls with a diameter of 7mm. You will need 32 of them.

6. Lay out and glue the rolls using PVA glue for the bottom row of the dress.

7. For maple leaves, cut strips of brown and orange color 30 cm long, 5 mm wide. Glue them together one at a time. The length of each strip will be 60 cm. We twist them using a toothpick.

8. From rolls with a diameter of 12mm and 18mm we make parts that look like arrows. The smaller arrow is the stem of the leaf.

9. From strips (length 30 cm, width 5 mm) of brown color, we make rolls with a diameter of 12 mm. They will also make arrows, but smaller in size. Make the middle of the leaf from the same strip, but the diameter of the roll is 7mm.

10. The details of the maple leaf were obtained. Glue the parts together using PVA glue.

11. You will need 9 such leaves.

12. Glue them along the edge of the hem of the dress.

13. For the dress itself you will need maple leaves, but smaller ones. We will make them from two strips of brown and orange (length 15 cm, width 5 mm, roll diameter 10 mm). For the stem of the leaf, take a brown strip (length 15 cm, width 5 mm, roll diameter 7 mm).

14. Using pins, pin these maple leaves for the dress pattern.

15. From yellow and green strips (length 30cm, width 5mm, roll diameter 10mm) we make circles and leaves.

16. Carefully gluing the finished parts together, we close the space on the dress.

17. We use elastic bands to fasten the parts together.

18. The lower part of the dress is ready.

19. Remove the cone.

20. Let’s make an underdress for the doll from yellow material and decorate it with a bead.

21. Insert the doll into the paper dress and secure everything with glue.

22. Let's choose a shape for the umbrella. I took the lid from the sugar bowl and wrapped it in cling film.

23. Use the same smaller maple leaves to glue the edge of the lid.

24. Glue strips of yellow (length 30 cm, width 5 mm) and green (length 30 cm, width 5 mm). You will get a strip 60 cm long, twist the roll with a diameter of 18 mm. Shape into a leaf.

25. Glue them together, making the second row of the umbrella.

26. The middle will be from two large leaves, which we will make from strips of yellow (length 90 cm, width 5 mm) and green (length 50 cm, width 5 mm), roll diameter 36 mm.

27. Take out the lid, glue the middle.

28. Take rectangular yellow paper (length 9cm, width 3cm), twist it into a tight roll, and glue the ends together. This will be the handle of the umbrella. And for the spokes of the umbrella, take a rectangle 3cm long and 3cm wide.
